Ghouls are undead creatures which were once human beings. They tend to live near cemeteries as they subsist on the flesh and bones of human and other corpses. They are terribly cunning and vicious fighters. They tend to be filthy, and are apt to be carriers of any number of diseases. Humans killed by ghouls tend to become them after death, but there are other ways to become a ghoul, including ritual magic involving ingesting dead human flesh. (vol.3 #6:7)
