FARMER BROWN'S TIME MACHINE

Tesla Research Labs: A remarkable device has been discovered following the bizarre death of Horace Brown, a native of Fredonia, Iowa. Born August 23rd of 1922, Mr. Brown was a combat veteran of World War II and was considered reclusive, although somewhat active in the VFW and a thirty-second degree Mason.Indications in journals and regalia found in his home also indicate the farmer held high office in an unspecified hermetic order which holds quarterly meetings somewhere in Polk County. The cause of death is either suicide or accidental overdose of a self administered home made narcotic which seems to have been a blend of argaic mushrooms, peyotl, opium derivatives, and unfamiliar agents.

Did bizzarre drugs hurl him into time and space?
     Brown's body was discovered in a root cellar, seated in an old dentist's chair. Attached to the chair were a series of electrodes attached to a small generator and a complicated device for intravenous delivery of a powerful chemical cocktail of unknown composition. Also in the cellar was a fairly complete amature chemical laboratory, a still, and a very impressive library containing works dealing with arcane and contemporary subjects including Isis Unveiled and The Secret Doctrine, by Helena Petrovna Blavatsky, Theo-Zoology, or the Lore of the Sodom-Apelings and the Electron of the Gods, by Lanz von Liebenfels, and a number of texts on drug induced precognition in primitive societies. According to his own writings in notebooks at the scene, Brown had come up with a chemical compound which when taken in combination with a strictly controlled series of electrical shocks caused a stimulation of the pineal gland, often termed the "body's clock." Brown had been using the procedure to pursue experiments in what he calls "Chronomancy" or time-magik.

     During the war years, Brown had served with the American 7th Army, and was the soldier who, while searching the ruins of the Oberin Schmied Gasse in Nuremberg on April 30th of 1945, found a secret passage leading to two immense steel doors. Inside the vault lay the legended "Spear of Longinus", the weapon which pierced the side of the Lord Jesus Christ, and mystical talisman of power held by Adolf Hitler throughout his reign of terror. In fact, it may be that at the moment Horace Brown was liberating the spear for the Allies, Hitler was shooting himself in a bunker in Berlin.

     From the evidence found at the Brown farm, this mystical experience of coming into contact with a talisman of ancient power kindled a fascination with history and occult science in the Iowa farm boy. Upon returning home, he left the maintenance of the family farm to his brothers and ailing father, and used his savings to enter the University of Emmetsburg to study Chemistry, taking elective courses in European History, and Religion. He pursued his undergraduate studies in his major under Professor J.H. Geber. According to the academic record, Brown was expelled after three years for "unorthodox extra-curricular experimentation and the possible use of controlled substances without regard to the law or public safety."

     His father died that same year, and Horace returned to Fredonia to take over the farm. His work at Emmetsburg had attracted the attention of like-minded individuals whom Brown refers to only as, "Akashic Historians of the Ab. Gesellschaft FFF." Brown's brothers, Alex and Jerry, say they left the farm and moved away primarily out of distaste for the association of their elder brother with these men, whom they regarded as "secretive, sinister, and racist in the extreme."

     In Theosophy, everything that has ever happened is inscribed in the Akashic Record, a cosmic dossier of the history of the universe since its inception, and has been called the "Universal Memory of Nature." Certain enlightened visionaries (such as Edar Cayce) are supposedly able to "tap into" that record and report back their visions of this record to satisfy the curiosity of their clients. Rudolf Steiner used "Akashic Research" to write his history of Atlantis and Lemuria. This method of historical research is generally regarded as charlatanism.

     Horace Brown's collection of notebooks which set down in his own hand the reports of his "time experiments" detail his metaphysical travel back to the origin of the planet and the progress of man. An entertaining, if somewhat disturbing story obviously influenced by Blavatsky's racial theory of human evolution. He gives first hand accounts of the ascension of progressively superior "root-races", the fourth of which was the Atlanteans who employed a technology superior even to our own to build great cyclopean structures, and a Hyperborean root-race who dwelt on a now vanished polar continent named Arktogaa. From this race came the Aryans, who fell from Light into Darkness when they were tempted by the carnal delights of what he termed sub-human "sex-pygmies," thereby polluting the blood of the master race to such a degree that they lost the magical powers associated with the pineal gland. Other than through generations of careful eugenic screening the power which was lost could not be restored. In a particularly self congratulatory passage, Brown describes the process of the construction of his "Pineal Stimulator" and its ability to skip centuries of natural development through selective breeding and open the doors of time and space. He claimed that he was not only able to leap backwards in time but his device allowed him to project his essence and intelligence into the far future where, as he puts it, "The true first race of God-Kings will again ascend to their throne, Rulers in the Sky, Lords of Planets, Regents of Galaxies, and wielders of the fire-mist!"

     He pointed out that people foolishly are relying on the flawed Gregorian calendar to mark the advent of the new Millennium, and do not realize that it has already begun, and that in these 1000 years the lost Golden Age of the Blood Wizards would be regained. The Gregorian calendar is off by four years, placing Christ's birth in 4 BC, which, if you subtract four years from 2001, puts the start of the Millennium in 1997.

     Among his more dire predictions of the next decade is the complete collapse of the global economy as the natural outcome of various plots instituted by subversive conspirators under the control of inferior races which would stop at nothing to prohibit the return of the Blood Wizards to dominion over them. He predicted that the methods of these sub-races would be their undoing and that the wars they initiated would only rid the earth of themselves, creating a clean slate for the exclusive use of the remaining Aryans. The earth would reform itself into a paradise of clean air, water, and virgin wilderness after a period of violent geological upheavals and terrifying changes in climate, which Brown explains:

     "...are the signs that having cloaked itself so completely in moral stain and depravity mankind has put Sodom to shame and that Nature herself can no longer ignore the wretchedness of those who were supposed to sheperd her creatures and guard in faithful stewardship her continued health. Like an angry, vengeful god she will rise against them, and push these degenerates and all their sinful works into her fiery bosom to be consumed. But those of us to whom the Earth is sacred, to whom the blood is aware of its tie to the Earth, we will be spared. Brothers, know yourselves and you will know everything! Embrace the Universe within you and you can master the Universe! I do not fear Death; He can not kill me!"

     Who knows what Farmer Brown saw on his final excursion into his pseudo-shamanistic drug trance? There is no way of knowing, and it is too disturbing to postulate. His machine has been dismantled and its parts catalogued, to be studied along with the drug residue here at Tesla. The surviving family members had no wish to retain the items and have actually petitioned for their destruction.
