No Leads In Pig Mutilations

Delaware: Recent queries of the Delaware County Sheriff's Department concerning the hog mutilation incident which occurred last August have met with no response. Note even a squeal. The investigator in charge of the case, Bill Hermes, did not return any calls made to his office by our staff. Contacts in the area report that no leads have been uncovered. Not even a ,500 reward from the Humane Society of the United States has led to any new information.

Thus far all that is known is the tongues were cut from dozens of pigs on a rural Manchester farm. The farmer had called the sheriff's department after he noticed about 70 hogs had lost weight. They discovered the animals' tongues had been cut out. The farmer sold the animals before they lost more weight. Humane Society officials said they have not heard from anyone trying to claim the reward, and as their national database of animal mutilations have no other cases of hogs' tongues being removed, determination on even a motive has been extremely difficult. One explanation might be the involvement of cults in the area or use of the animal parts as aphrodisiacs. Certainly there are a lot of bored farm kids, but 70 animals is fairly extreme to attribute to these possibilities. As of yet, no sources have reported any UFO activity in connection with this incident,. While local authorities are hesitant to admit to more unconventional areas of investigation, our staff is beating the bushes to find out what is going on in Manchester. Thus far no one has reported a subsequent incident.
