Erratum:

An alert Emmetsburg Reader notified us that the photo of Kapt. Jurgen "Eisenaugen" Wassergott, former commander of the U3036, was miscaptioned and identified him as "Otto" (see: German U-Boat Teleported To Five Island Lake, December, 1997, vol. 4, Issue #12).

Given our efforts to restore computer files erased during our recent bout of hallucinogenic poisoning, such an oversight comes as no surprise.

As it turns out, Lieutenant zur See Otto Wassergott served aboard the U3036 as the Navigation Officer and was the commanding officer's cousin. Following the Second World War, he repatriated to West Germany. He settled in Karlsruhe and died in a car accident in 1963.

As always, Third Eye Over Iowa welcomes reader-input concerning the vast range of topics we address. In fact, it may be your only hope.
