Presidential Order For UFO Investigation,

     Governor's Order Expected

submitted by Charles Williams, IUFORN

Johnson: With the recent flap over Bill Clifton's purported dalliances with young females, attention to reports that he ordered a full investigation into the UFO phenomenon has been left dangling. The reported order came to light when close a associate of the President, the now disgraced Webb Hubbell, revealed that he had been asked by Clinton to use his top Justice Department post to find out if UFOs exist. He was also to conduct the investigation in secret and to report only to the White House. The cover-up began when an embarrassed Clinton, already rocked by scandal and cries for his impeachment, denied the order was ever given.

Presidential fascination with the paranormal is a long standing tradition, and didn't begin with Bill's interest in heavenly bodies or Hillary's attempts to channel previous First Ladies. Nancy Reagan and Ronny had a deep involvement with astrology and it is rumored in West Branch that Hoover was a table-tapper. Though not necessarily connected, it is also true that almost every president has been a member of the Masons...two notable exceptions were Lincoln and Kennedy....draw your own conclusions.

When news of the statement by Hubbell broke to the press, White House spokesman Mike McCurry set up a firewall against the controversy. Officially McCurry is refusing to confirm or deny Hubbell's assertion.

Of course, Hubbell is using the attention to plug his new book, in which he describes being sent by the President with a clear mandate: "I want you to find the answers to two questions for me. One, who killed JFK? And two, are there UFO's?" Hubbell was flabbergasted, but Clinton was dead serious, and so Hubbell had to be---regardless of what the high mucky mucks thought of his queries. Hubbell, on a recent CNN interview told of how he had mustered the courage to openly ask questions about UFOs when meeting with officials at NORAD, the North American Aerospace Defense Command in Colorado, which monitors satellites and other objects in the skies. NORAD was not forthcoming with details, and Hubbell left unsatisfied.

Hubbell himself is no stranger to controversy. He was Associate Attorney General, Hillary Clinton's former law partner, and played golf with the President until he admitted bilking law clients out of $482,000 and then was sent to jail.

For the Clinton Administration, the "Hubbell Investigations" or the "H Files" as they have been called, pose a prickly problem. If confirmed the radical right might paint Clinton as a bit of a UFO conspiracy theorist who was using federal funds and government resources to conduct investigations into science fiction. On the other hand, if they attempt to debunk Hubbell and call him a liar in this matter, it would hand Kenneth Starr a powerful weapon because proving that Hubbell was lying when he denied the fees the Clintons paid him were hush money is crucial to his case against the President. With Hubbell still claiming the Clintons did nothing at all wrong in the Whitewater affair it leaves the White House with the difficult choice indeed.

Of course, the entire matter would be moot if the President would take the bold step of openly calling for full disclosure of UFO secrets. This situation has given UFOlogists a golden opportunity. Now is the time to put full pressure on your local, state and federal legislators. Even the White House should be flooded with letters of support for throwing back the cloak of secrecy and giving the public all the records on UFO investigations by our government. While I am not of the opinion of some, like certain Italian ex-patriots, that our government is in collusion with alien forces waging a battle on this planet for human bodies and the destiny of our world, only a fool would say that the government is not in possession of classified materials on the subject of alien visitation.

Sources here in Iowa are saying that the Governor is monitoring the situation very closely. If the pressure does cause the White House to issue an Executive Order of UFO Disclosure, Brandstad is prepared to make every effort to follow suit and root out the truth of what is happening in Emmetsburg, Pottawattamie County, and other Iowa UFO hotspots.

The hard fact of living in a democracy is that you have to take responsibility for your own government. They will not unlock the doors if we do not force them to through letters, e-mails, and our votes. At every election be brave enough to be a Hubbell yourself and stand up and ask the candidates their position on UFO disclosure, and only vote for pro-disclosure candidates. Together, we are the majority.
