Fiberglas "Cotton Candy" Injures Four

Cedar: Three children and one adult were injured when they ingested pink fiberglas insulation on August 14 during the 37th Annual Zoar Heritage Days.

According to Zoar Police, Mrs. Ermina Faquahir and her three children purchased four bags of what they believed was cotton candy at a stand run by a Zeelig's Hardware, Inc. of Zoar. In minutes, the mother and her three children began screaming loudly. When passers-by saw Iris-Mae Faquahir, aged 3, choking, Emmergency Crews were contacted. All four are in Podebrad Medical Center listed in fair condition.

Zoar Police, meanwhile, arrested Dexter Rausche, 18, as the person responsible for replacing the cotton candy with insulation but refused to make the charges public until following a psychological assessment. While police are refusing to say whether Rausche acted deliberately or no, a reliable source attached to the investigation stated that "disturbing evidence" was uncovered in Rausche's bedroom at his parent's home. Specifically what that evidence is the source refused to detail. Since their son's arrest, both Edward and Becky Rausche have been unavailable for comment.

John Robeson was at pains to make sense of his longtime friend's actions.

"Dex does a lot of stupid things you know. He just seriously screws up a lot. But he's not, like, evil, you know what I mean?"
