IUFORN'S MIDWEST UFO UPDATE

BRANSTAD NEGOTIATES FOR FIRST CONTACT SITE:

     If the honorable Terry E. Branstad gets his way, the state capital will be the landing site for the first wave of extraterrestrial craft intent on making their presence known to all humanity. According to Dr. Richard Boylan, Ph.D. (http://www.ufonetwork.com/boylan/), Native American peoples have a deep mythological connection to the stars, and that the recent fulfillment of prophecies indicates that the Star Peoples are about to return. The rash of UFO sightings in Arizona over the last few months has been deemed to be a precursor to the public landing of the aliens and the opening of public relations between Earth and the "Star Nation."

     Still smarting from the flap generated by Minnesota's Governor Arnie Carlson's assertion last month that Des Moines was a "ghost town", our own governor has stated, "Not only is there abundant life in Iowa, there is going to be life from other planets, too!" He has opened negotiations in Arizona-we presume with the emissaries of Star Nation-to have the contact point shifted to Iowa. "We had to fight to keep the First Caucus, and I'm prepared to fight for the right of First Contact!" Governor Branstad stated off the record in a luncheon held at the Hotel Fort De Moines.

     The red letter date is set for April 24th of this year, although Dr. Boylan recently admitted that the extraterrestrials are very concerned for security-theirs and ours-due to a hostile threat from a treasonous paragovernmental organization operating with the UFO-cover-up, indicating that the landing may be delayed. We can only assume that with the added involvement of the Branstad political machine, delays are likely to be inevitable.

ABDUCTEES RE-ENACT EXPERIENCE IN RECENT "PLAY":

     W. David Hancock and Mark Hunter combined their artistic expertise to draw abduction experiences out of four people who had been held captive by alien life forms aboard a "mothership" for long periods of time-in excess of 15 years in one case. I was present at the presentation where audiences were invited to quietly watch as the blind folded and bound victims went through the agonies they had experienced while being held captive. I was nearly overwhelmed by this technique which at once caused an empathy with the prisoners, but also engendered a very uncomfortable association with the abductors. At one point, the rapid fire revelations of sexual abuse, microwave scanning, mind manipulation, and the evil presence of an intelligent bait machine proved too much for one of the participants. She removed the garden hose which held her to a chair above the main playing area and broke from the performance, saying, "I can't do this anymore." After she had fled the stage, the others continued without her. I saw that they were moved by the fragile participant's breakdown, but were committed to the need to communicate these dangerous truths.

     The event, called "The Blind Voyeur" has been presented in Iowa City and in Cedar Rapids.      IUFORN is currently investigating a WWII airbase in or near Selma, Iowa. Former residents recall seeing "hovering lights" and that the entire base was shrouded in mystery, with personnel not allowed off the base. DEAF CHILDREN BUZZED BY UFO:

     The skies above the Iowa School for the Deaf were abuzz with military aircraft on Sat. March 9. Low flying jets, helicopters, and even a hot air balloon were out in force following a report by an anonymous student that a large flying object flew north over the school, escorted by six triangular support vehicles. All were flying in a V formation. Subsequent calls to the local police confirmed sightings by 3 other witnesses. Pottawattamie county is has been a hotbed for UFO activity since the '70s.

     In a very suspicious move, Iowa has passed a little known piece of legislation making it criminally liable to print, publish, or broadcast any information regarding black triangle UFOs, similar to those which have been seen over the American Southwest and Belgium.
