Missing Third Eye Reporter Found---Alive!

Leslie Shepherd Found Floating In Lake Red Rock!

Marion: Third Eye Over Iowa Special Correspondant Leslie Shepherd was found clinging to piece of driftwood at dawn on Sunday, July 20 by a local angler. Shepherd, aged 28, vanished in the mysterious area known as Black 11 in Palo Alto County on May 22, 1996. The fisherman, who asked not to be identified, stated that he discovered Shepherd clinging to a log as he was trawling the fog-shrouded waters of Lake Red Rock. Naked, unconscious, and barely breathing, she was fished out of the chilly waters by the alarmed fisherman and brought ashore. After being treated at the Lucas Grove Regional Medical Center for hypothermia, Shepherd has remained unconscious.

Her parents, Henry and Louise Shepherd, who have declined to comment on the recovery of their daughter, informed Third Eye that she was being transfered to Massaraty Asylum near Mt. Pleasant for observation and further tests.

No further sign of the three missing Palo Alto Emergency Response Crew has been found in the area. A spokesperson for the Marion County Sheriff's Department said they were keeping an eye out for them.
