Conspiracy Corner III: Who Killed Lt. Q?

submitted by Col. Gaetano Ardenti

Polk: Lt. "Q", whom long time readers will remember as one of my sources into the machinations of Area P-21 (see: Conspiracy Corner II, January, 1998, vol. 5, Issue #1), was killed in what Polk County officials are calling a simple robbery attempt.

We knew him as Lt. Q, but his family knew him as James Vergriffen, the name printed in the obituary with scant mention of his military career. Since his 1994 divorce, this father of two boys had lived alone in a small apartment in West Des Moines, working at a local comic book store. That is, he did until September 15th when his children came for a visit and found their father dead in his home with a piano wire wrapped around his neck.

According to my own observation (after bribing the female attendant at the morgue with several lacy items from my own intimate apparel collection) I could tell that James had been brutally tortured before being killed. This looked a lot less like a robbery gone wrong than a reprisal followed by execution. Something smelled a lot worse than Q's rotting corpse.

P-21 is the underground complex in the western part of our state which all official sources claim does not even exist. Vergriffen had told me he was employed there as a technician before turning whistle-blower. The US has many underground facilities across the country, and some of them are operated in cooperation with alien entities and conduct genetic research and horrible experiments. For the benefit of new readers unfamiliar with the history of these bases, allow me to provide some background, much of which came originally from Lt. Q and the writings of Iowa scientist Dr. K.M. Schaefer---both of whom are now dead due to mysterious circumstances.

During WWII both the Axis and Allied powers came into contact with entities from outside our world. Both sides entered into limited agreements for the exchange of technologies and assistance which seem in the final analysis to favor only the aliens. The contact at this point was never face to face and the exchanges conducted through "mediumistic conduits". The Reptoids, who aided the Nazis, were more forthcoming with technological innovations, and may have actually been contacted first by such ritualistic summonings as performed by occult movements in Europe before the war. On the Allied side, our contacts originally seemed to be an attempt by these outside forces to restore lost balance due to the Reptoid influence over Europe.

With the explosion of the first atomic weapon, the outside influence accelerated and became more direct. It is uncertain whether crashed discs were the result of actual malfunctions or sacrifices made by the aliens in order to create a plausible and non-threatening direct first contact in Roswell, NM and Emmetsburg, IA in 1947. At any rate, with the possession of a disc and bodies, both living and dead, we were able to maintain a parity with those remaining Nazi/Reptoid factions ensconced in the Andes and Antarctica. As the new battle lines were drawn in a conflict were carefully nurtured into believing in, new deals were arranged between all interested parties. Land was granted, and permission was given by the Eisenhower Administration for limited harvests of humans as well as the freedom to test implantation of remote devices, mind control techniques, and so on in exchange for technological advancement and shared data from experiments conducted. Ironically, we had even given them the "rough draft" of this deal as it was patterned after the soft treatment the Allies gave Nazi scientists for repatriating. Gradually, as I have reported in my columns, the aliens have been overstepping the original "treaty" until it has become clear they never intended to abide by it at all. The whole thing was just a way to let us think we had control until we had lost it utterly...

After hearing Vergriffen's account of what was being done by the Aliens and our own government in underground bases like P-21, I ran his story as a follow up report to the testimony of Kristen Tilly, a Wheeler native and independent abductee witness interviewed several months previous (see: Colonel Ardenti's Conspiracy Corner, August, 1997, vol. 4, Issue #8). I hoped that by printing his belief that an armed insertion force led by Lt. General Richard F. "Bull" Ostwinkle (Ret.) had not tipped their hand, and that the column hadn't resulted in Q's untimely demise.

At our last meeting Q suggested that the American scientists on this project were working on a plan to get out from under the thumb of the Aliens, by creating a biological synthesis of alien and human---a hybrid which could spy on the Greys by use of telepathy. This was of tantamount importance due to the ease with which the Greys are able to detect and thwart conventional remote viewing techniques.

"We are pushing [our] genetic research and cloning efforts there," Q had told me at our last meeting, "in order to produce a human being so similar to the Greys that they can pick up the telepathic broadcasts the Greys use to communicate. These will be our scouts."

Pressing him on the need for scouts, he muttered, "If we had scouts like the ones we're trying to make here, the first raid on Dulce wouldn't have failed." I asked Q what he knew about the first Dulce raid.

"Plenty," he said, "I was there."

After a very long pause, during which I can only assume he was weighing the value of his own life against the importance of the information he was about to offer me, he spoke in a hushed voice, "I was one of three people to survive the 1979 fire fight between the Greys and our human forces at Dulce. The other two were men were Phil Schnieder and a Colonel Harrison Campbell." The reader may already be familiar with Harrison Campbell, who is also a reporter for this magazine whose sources and information frequently contradict my own. It was interesting to find out he was in the first of the "Dulce Wars" when I knew for a fact he had been Ostwinkle's second in command on the subsequent raid in 1983, even though both men have been retired from the service for years!

Paul Schnieder was a name that was also known to me. I had attended a lecture he delivered in May of 1995, on this same subject. Seven months later he was found tortured and killed---in exactly the same manner as our own Lt. Q would be just a few short months after the conversation reported here. For purposes of legal clarity I do not make any accusations or assumptions, but can report that in conspiracy circles, the smart money is not placing bets on Colonel Campbell turning up with a piano wire neck tie.

Lt. Q continued, "Back in 1979, I was still with the Army. I was working at the Dulce facility and Schnieder's crew had this accident. This was a major occurrence, because up to this point we still believed that our deal was square with the Aliens. Schnieder's crew was drilling an addition to the facility, and they were digging very very deep. Then all of a sudden he goes down to check rock samples in one of the holes and the floor gives way and he's in this huge cave just full of Greys. At that time not everyone at the base knew about our cooperation, and some of Schnieder's people, or maybe he himself started shooting at them, and also at that time, of course, we didn't know that bullets were not an effective weapon against them. It turned into an all out fire fight, and my team were incorporated as field experts into a group under some officers...Campbell was with them. We got slaughtered. I think that the military wanted to use this unexpected occurrence in the mines as an excuse to start the war for real. They called it the Dulce Wars. There were several areas of fighting and some human scientists were captured...but I don't know if that was before, during, or after the cave-in. The whole thing was a bloody mess and we took the worst of it. I know at least 60 men were killed. Schnieder got shot in the chest with one of their weapons, that blew a hole in him and he got cancer from it. It was pure cobalt radiation. After that I left the Army and went into private sector work, at Aerodyne Labs. They were testing all kinds of strange aircraft over there, and there were some pretty peculiar fellows walking around. To this day I don't know if I got too close to something or if I really was the best man for the job, because I got called back into active service and was put to work at the P-21 facility. I was a witness to an accident, when an orderly tipped some urine samples on one of the Greys. The thing kind of melted from it. I think because I saw that and found out that ammonia was a weapon that could hurt them, I was discharged and they wouldn't even open the door for me at Aerodyne. I have been working at this comic book store up in Des Moines to make ends meet ever since. I'm thinking of writing a book, but I am too scared to take my notes to a publisher. I mean, look what happened to Phil."

The story of his work at P-21 is reported in the above mentioned issue of Third Eye Over Iowa, but his far more detailed book, Visitors from Hell: the secret of the UFOs (see: Your Government Is Trying To Kill You?, May, 1998, vol. 5, Issue #5) is a must read for those who would know the whole story. In fact, I suspect it was that text, rather than my interview, which got him killed.

ÊYou might ask me if everyone (with the notable exception of Harrison Campbell) who knows about these underground operations is turning up dead, why I persist in reporting on them. It is precisely because of the horrendous structure of the alliance of the US Federal government and elected officials here in Iowa with the Alien Menace that I feel far more imperiled should I not persist. How long I will be able to do this is anybody's guess, but I digress.

After leaving the morgue, I climbed into my Nissan and coaxed her to highway speeds toward Wheeler. On the way I would make a stop in neighboring Downsville to meet with my contacts in the local chapter of the Iowa Men of Freedom. If Q had been murdered for his knowledge of a human insurrection, that armed conflict might take place at any moment---and the militia group needed to be warned.

Once I got to the ranch, Lt. Cmdr. Baedeker was visibly shocked by the news that Q had been murdered. He confirmed that the "off duty" Pottawattamie Sheriff's Department detachment watching the roads around the base had been redoubled, and all of them were wearing the now notorious "United States Police Force" armbands over their dark blue BDUs. Something was definitely up. These sentries patrol the perimeter of county roads which surround the P-21's double row of barbed wire and chain link fences. Inside the base on the surface the entire area is protected by Smackenhovel Security, the best in the world.

Baedecker told me that although alien abductions seem to have dropped off over the last few months, rumor and paranoia have increased markedly. The Lt. Cmdr. told me, "They (Wheelerites) think Smackenhovel has security people posing as farmers, DNR officials, and anybody they don't know personally they figure is either a human spy or an alien posing as a human, or some kind of mixture of both. We sent a couple of men up near the base last month, and they couldn't get near it. They have some kind of sound system or something up there that sends out low frequency waves and make you feel like you're going to throw up. All that topside equipment is new. They're getting ready for something."

I was afraid Vergriffen had been killed either to protect an invasion of the base, or by the base personnel for giving out too much information. I decided I'd better have a look at the facility myself.

P-21 on August 19, 1998.
Baedeker and two of his men squeezed into my Nissan and we headed for Wheeler. Unnerved by the apparent absence of topside security forces, we got into our observation position. What we saw stunned us all. Less than a month ago I took the photo you see at the top, clearly showing P-21's above ground buildings and dish antennae. The photo below was taken from exactly the same vantage point on September 21st. The buildings appeared to have been hit by a major land and air assault. Although all the fencing was perfectly intact, the buildings beyond them were reduced to smoking ruin. We could see three Sikorsky CH-47 Chinook helicopters with men clad in HAZMAT level four uniforms swarming around them like ugly blue insects. They were loading crates into the aircraft and directing the activity of unprotected cammo clad special forces personnel. Several attack helicopters without markings circled overhead.

We took our photo and made a hasty retreat. Upon my arrival home I found a package delivered to my front door. The return address was only a single letter, and it stopped me dead cold in my tracks: "Q." p21flames.jpg
